 Abstract:  The Ina E. Gittings collection is comprised of two series: Biographical materials, ca. 1890-1968, and University of Arizona, Department of Physical Education for Women, 1923-1985. arrangement varies by series. Biographical materials include photographs, biographical summaries, press releases, newspaper clippings, radio speeches, diplomas, a scrapbook, "50 years of Physical Education, 1902-1952," and other information regarding Gittings' personal and professional interests. Also includes materials written by Gittings and others relating to the Department of Physical Education for Women; as well as a history of physical education legislation in Arizona. Information on the Ina E. Gittings building on the University of Arizona campus is also present.

 Abstract:  This collection spans the postal history of one town in California, 1932-1972. It contains official postal documents used in the daily business of the post office, correspondence from and to the post masters, ledgers documenting packages and monies mailed to and received from locations around the world, and newspaper clippings of the post office daily dedication, which took place in 1969. The names of California residents are noted in several of the ledgers in regards to packages and COD records. The collection provides a history of postal operations in Nubieber, California and is of particular use to those interested in postal history and genealogy. This collection may also be useful for the researcher involved in Women’s Studies due to the female postmistresses noted in the collection (Ethel R. Sherrill and May Oates).
